Welcome Our New Executive Director, Julie Ogawa

Julie Ogawa is an experienced hospitality executive with a 25-year career in the industry. She has an impressive and unique resume, featuring a career that has spanned the globe, focusing on building/leading guest service teams, she has also worked on hotel conversions and opening new resorts and building the teams. She has had management roles in the following locations:

• Tokyo, Japan
• Jakarta, Indonesia
• Okinawa, Japan
• Maui, Hawaii
• Saint Louis, Missouri
• Orlando, Florida
• Sedona, Arizona

She has a passion for customer service, and staff retention, and believes in the power of mentoring-leadership.

PERSONAL LIFE
Having roots in the Southeast United States, Julie recently moved from Sedona, AZ to North Carolina to be closer to her family.

She is a world traveler, a walker, an avid baker, and believes laughing is a daily requirement. Having lived in Japan 18 years Julie is also fluent in Japanese.

Her life-motto is a famous quote from Maya Angelou: “People will forget what you said, people will forget what you did, but people will never forget how you made them feel.”
